Terminology

Mitigation:  Mitigation to climate change refers to actions and strategies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing carbon sinks to lessen the impact of human activities on earth’s climate system.

Adaptation:  Climate change adaptation is the process of adjusting to the effects of climate change. These can be both current and expected impacts. Adaptation aims to moderate or avoid harm for people as a result of climate change.
