Terminology
Climate change governance: Climate change governance deals with both mitigation and adaptation actions whilst at the same time trying to devise effective ways of managing the consequences of these measures across the different sectors.
International organisations: Various climate initiatives and agreements are done at the international level, co-ordinated by the UNFCCC, especially through different Conferences of the Parties (COPs).
Local institutions: Local institutions include local governments, local agencies, civil society institutions (producer organisations, co-operatives, savings and loan groups) and private institutions (NGOs and charities, private businesses providing insurance or loans).
