Unit summary

The climate system involves interactions between the living and non-living worlds (IPCC, 2001). Anything that can alter any of the components in this system can lead to climate change. Countries have different coping capacities. Thus, climate ethics play a fundamental role in any process of eliminating climate injustice, as ethics can guide action, facilitate negotiation, reconcile conflicting interests, and establish priorities. In this lesson, you have covered:

  • impacts of climate change
  • identifying ethical dimensions of climate change
  • ethical issues and challenges
