In this unit, you learned the importance of advocacy in climate change, various tips for climate advocacy and action, and different strategies for engaging people and communities about climate change. It is important to note the following:

• By combining efforts from individuals, organisations, and governments, advocacy can significantly contribute to mitigating the impacts of climate change and building a more sustainable future for all.
• Every individual contribution counts in combating climate change and creating a more sustainable future. People need to set clear goals, influence policy, reduce their carbon footprint, and mobilise youths and future generations.
• Engaging people and communities about climate change requires thoughtful strategies that consider their unique needs, values, and perspectives. Use different strategies such as education and awareness campaigns, engaging community leaders and youths, forming partnerships and collaborations among stakeholders, and addressing concerns and misconceptions.
