Unit summary

In this unit you learned to connect changes in the environment to the impacts of climate change.

Climate change is contributing to more frequent and more intense natural disasters, displacement of people, disruptions to agriculture and food production and changes in seasonal weather patterns. Communities living in ecologically fragile areas are especially vulnerable to the social and economic impacts of climate change. Awareness of and knowledge about climate change and its impacts at the local level can help to strengthen community preparedness and resilience.
