Mauritius Vice PM attends special needs ceremony

Professor Kanwar and Honourable Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Vice-Prime Minister at the Skill for Work awards ceremony

Professor Kanwar delivered a keynote address at COL’s Skills for Work awards ceremony to recognise the outstanding achievements of Special Education Needs Authority educators and “underscore the profound significance of special education needs in Mauritius’ educational landscape.” She was joined by the Honourable Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Vice-Prime Minister.

Skills training online for special needs educators is a collaboration between the Higher Education Commission Mauritius and the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, and Scientific Research supported by COL. In the last two years, over 3,000 students received COL scholarships to study more than 10,000 courses online.
