Building Excellence in Teaching

Workshop participants posing for a group photographCOL’s regional centre CEMCA and the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, India organised a national consultation to finalise the Building Excellence in Teaching programme curriculum for diploma teachers.

The workshop, which occurred in January 2023 in New Delhi, brought together heads of the education departments of various states, subject-matter experts, instructional designers and other stakeholders to validate curriculum modules. The programme enables diploma teachers to comprehend the emerging international trends in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), appreciate the technical education system and National Education Policy initiatives in India, understand teachers’ emerging roles and responsibilities and perform the key tasks required for TVET instructional design and development.
