COL President elected Chair of UNESCO IITE Governing Board

Professor Asha Kanwar has been elected to the prestigious position of new Chair of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) Governing Board (GB).

COL’s President said she welcomes the opportunity to help IITE facilitate inclusive and equitable digital transformation of education, as part of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4).

The IITE GB Chair and members are appointed by UNESCO’s Director-General based on gender balance and geographical distribution, as well as their distinction in their field of expertise, and they sit in a personal capacity.
