SADC-CDE hosts ODeL research workshop in Botswana

The Southern African Development Community Centre for Distance Education (SADC-CDE) — a regional centre supported by COL and hosted by Botswana Open University (BOU) — held an open and distance e-learning (ODeL) Research Workshop in November 2022 in Gaborone, Botswana. The main objective was to equip attendees with an array of knowledge and skills, which included applying ODeL concepts and principles, authoring publishable articles, and identifying reputable journals.

Forty participants from BOU attended, with facilitator Professor Nkobi Pansiri providing detailed explanations and hands-on activities related to research in ODeL. The workshop improved participants’ capacity to handle the intricacies of research in open and distance learning.
