Hello friends in our last class we were discussing about the institutional support for entrepreneurship development in which we have seen that good number of institutions are there to promote the entrepreneurship among different categories of people. With all these institutional support many times we have a complaint that so there is no opportunity for many of us. So by playing this game in this class known as “Treasure Hunting” we will be understanding how we know the opportunities that are existing as well as persisting in our environment and how it is difficult to catch these opportunities that also we will be understanding practically. The game treasure hunting that we are going to play will be having the following objectives. First one to comprehend the real situation as an entrepreneur. Whatever might be your preparation for launching your enterprise but the moment you start your enterprise will have to face good number of uncertainities that you will be realizing as a objective of this game by playing this game. To realize the risk taking behavior of an entrepreneur. Risk is an element or the concept that we have discussed in almost each and every class that we have discussed so far and practically you will be getting an exposure what exactly the risk is. third objective is to internalize the process of task performance and to have the first-hand experience of problems faced by the entrepreneur. In achieving the task what are all the different impediments that you are going to have in the process that will be knowing today and to identify the factors in decision-making and I n facing the new problem. The moment you start facing the problem you start taking the decisions also and how you are behaving in such circumstances that you will be coming to know by playing this game I hope you will enjoy this game.

Friends I am sure you must have enjoyed the game of treasure hunting. While playing this event you must have observe the importance of leadership which I am identifying as the first factor. Why we need to have a leader in the events like this because we are very well aware that all the team members are going to be blindfolded but how to recognize that we have achieved the target and who will take the records or who will keep the record, how many has got different treasures and whether our task is complete are not. so if I want to analyze all these things I should have at least a nodal person, a key person to whom we identified as a leader. And in our previous discussions I have already said that enterpreneur in is invariably a leader and by taking that leadership we can coordinate the activities very easily. The second point I would like to emphasize in which we all enjoyed this game but at the same time the treasure which was very near to us but we were not able to recognize that. many times we passed through that particular teasure but for one or the other reasons we could not grab it, we could not touch it so in our real life situations also even after existence of various opportunities in and around us our environment in which we all live but we are acting as forceful blind folded in the society.
Why it is happening? it is purely psychological effect but unknowingly we are behaving in that way. The moment we recognizing opportunities in the environment so that becomes the first step to be acting as a leader. Another important issue that you might have observed through this game is the patient that one needs to be. So if I don’t have that patience and if I enter into such activities or events so then I cannot achieve anything. So that is another important issue that we need to have. Then we are emphasizing upon the hard work. So at the same time there were good number of risk elements were also involved because we were blindfolded and we don’t know where exactly the treasure is and how exactly we are going to achieve that thing so for achieving all these things you will need to do regular and continuous and hard work and it is also associated with the patience and at the same time you must have realized the importance of communication also. After lapse of sometime so you started asking who has got how many. But had we planned it in earlier itself so the moment I get one or I achieve the target so I will be reporting to so and so forth. It means there is a interwoven relationship between the leadership the communication the entrepreneur all these things. So it is bit difficult to separate one from the other but the moment we behave in a particular direction it means all the things they start happening at a time. So this is how, so instead of complaining so there are less opportunities or no opportunities let us make deliberate attempt to identify the opportunities which are persisting in our environment to be a successful entrepreneur. You or next class we will be discussing about Johri’s window wherein, we will be discussing about how exactly an individual behaves and what are the different quadrants in which his behavior is reflected as an individual and as a part of the group and the relationship between the group. So all these things will be part of the discussion on Johri’s window.
